Each week we will explore movement from the perspective of the Elements:
EARTH, AIR, WATER, FIRE, SPIRIT
Earth

Week one explores the Foundations of our practice. Learn how to ground and find alignment in familiar poses.
Air

Week two has us transitioning from one place to the next. Learn ways to take up space from all corners of your mat (and beyond!)
Water

Week three we work through moving with grace. Learn how to find ease and fluidity in your practice.
Fire

Week four is where we find our passions and what makes us each unique. Learn how to stay inspired and make each movement YOURS.
Spirit

Week five is about energy. I’ll help you take the previous lessons and show you how to use movement as a form of healing and meditation.
Meet your Guide:
Jennifer Perrini – Yoga Student, Yoga Teacher (500+hrs), Ballet + Barre Enthusiast, Theatre Kid, Taurus Sun Aries Rising Aquarius Moon
Yoga found me at strange and difficult time in my life – as I think it does for most of us. My early 20s were a time of exploration. I dropped out of college, worked as a preschool teacher, went to cosmetology school and became a makeup artist. I was sort of just drifting.
I spent my childhood and teen years as a dancer, which led me to theatre in high school. I was an INTENSELY shy and anxious kid, but in the studio, and on stage, I was at peace. I was at home. (Total Sattva!)
I needed to recreate this feeling. I started Barre Fit classes with my bestie and eventually found Yoga. We found a studio close to home and were instantly hooked. I thought I came looking for movement, but what I realize now is that, for me, movement is and always was a form of meditation. On my mat, I returned home.
Here’s what you need to know if you’re interested in practicing with me:
My style is untraditional. My classes are playful and exploratory. We meld traditional yoga philosophy, dance, fitness, functional movement and free flow. Each layer of movement offering a way for you to turn off your internal chatter and reconnect to your inner Self. If you’re looking for softness, strength, stillness, or play – I can help. If you’re looking to return home – I will meet you on the mat.
